When your dog makes a good choice or offers a desirable behavior; capture it, by rewarding it, in the moment: 

• shaping new, desirable behaviors is much easier (and more fun) than modifying established behaviors; and

• your dog makes an effort to please you to earn praise-reward-because it feels good; and

• it's an enjoyable, invaluable training tool available to you any time / any place; and

• you'll see more (an increased frequency) of the behaviors that you acknowledge and reward; and

• your dog feels acknowledged; so

• it's a win-win!
