Ted Terroux

Owner / Founder / Trainer

Ted Terroux began handling and training household, show, field and obedience trial dogs as a child and has accumulated over 40 years of professional training experience with over 27,000 clients. He has personally lived with, cared for and trained over 55 dogs of 28 different breeds from all breed groups. Author, “The Complete Family Dog.” Ted is recognized as a dog behavior expert by several city and county jurisdictions in the Denver metro area and a canine behavior consultant and evaluator for many Rocky Mountain region rescue organizations dedicated to finding lifetime homes for “second-hand” dogs.


Tiffany Terroux


Tiffany Terroux has accumulated 15 years of experience in the class environment and in private instruction featuring positive reinforcement, relationship-based and balanced methodologies.  She got her start working with dogs as a volunteer for Safe Harbor Lab Rescue in 2002 as a foster parent and writer.  Certified as evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program in 2006, graduated with honors from Regis University, BS Business Administration and Communication, and earned the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, Animals and Human Health (AHH) Certificate (2019).  Tiffany has accumulated over 135 CEUs of ongoing professional dog training education credits through national professional dog training organizations.  Tiffany evaluates therapy dog team candidates for Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) organizations.  ​She is a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), and a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC).


Rick McComb


Rick McComb, a long-time member of the Rocky Mountain Newfoundland Rescue, has been training dogs for ten years. Rick graduated from the Starmark Academy (formerly, Triple Crown Academy) dog training school in 2010, and became an AKC CGC evaluator in 2011.


Sara Peneton


Sara Peneton joined the Terroux Dog Training team in January 2015, when she completed her certification with the Animal Behavior College (ABC), and then became an evaluator for AKC CGC in 2016.  Prior to and during her tenure at Terroux Dog Training, Sara runs her own dog-walking business.


Christie Pietro

Trainer Intern

Christie graduated from the Animal Behavior College (ABC) in 2018 and became an intern for us in 2019   She works in our puppy, basic obedience and Canine Good Citizen classes.  Christie is the proud mom of two rescued pups, one of whom is CGC and Novice Trick Certified.
